On Wednesday, 30/08/2023 Central Department of Library and Information Science, TU organized an Activities series-28 entitled “Literature Review in Academic Writing” on the occasion of 16th Library Day.
Associate Professor of the Central Department of Anthropology, Man Bahadur Khatri Ph.D., facilitated as a resource person during the program. Former Heads of the departments, the Chief of TUCL, Member Secretary of MoEST, and Library professionals were invited as guests. All faculties, staff, and students actively participated in the program.
The short introduction to the resource person and the objectives of the program was highlighted by the Head of the Department, Nira Manandhar.
In academic writing, a literature review is an essential component that demonstrates the scholar’s in-depth understanding of existing research and provides an overview of the scholarly discussion surrounding a particular topic. The literature review aims to critically analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the literature to identify gaps in knowledge, offer new insights, or propose additional research directions.
