On Friday, 2078-12-04 Central Department of Library and Information Science, TU organized Activities series-13 entitled “Talk Program on Digital Asset Management”. The resource person is a well-known Information professional of Nepal Mr. Bimal Chandra Sharma and he is currently working as a librarian in Policy Research Institute, Nepal.
In his presentation, he emphasized the reliability and feasibility of the Resource Space Software for the management of the information resources having very nature. Digital Asset Management (DAM) System is the systematic management and it allows managing the digital information, such as text, audio, video, pictorial, and other e-resources for the institution as well as a personal collection. It also provides 100GB of free space for each user.
This system aims to maximize the value of these assets by facilitating easy storage and retrieval while protecting and, at times, enhancing their utility. A digital asset is any form of salient information that plays a role in an institution’s efficiency and effectiveness.
The short introduction to the presenter and the objectives of the program was highlighted by the faculty member Lila Nyaichyai. All faculties, staff, and students of the 1st, 3rd, and 4th semesters participated in the program.
